The Film
For years, the world’s leading AI scientists have warned of catastrophic consequences if humanity loses control over advanced AI systems. Those warnings are now beginning to materialize. An Inconvenient Doom is a feature documentary devoted entirely to this risk. It explains the causes in plain language, examines the race between companies and nations, and explores the solutions.
The core idea is simple: if we build machines more capable than ourselves, we cannot expect to stay in control of them. What takes time are the objections that follow.

- “How exactly would it harm me?”
The film takes these doubts seriously and follows them one by one, letting leading experts answer each, until the full picture emerges.

Independence
An Inconvenient Doom accepts no funding from companies developing AI or from organizations identified with the AI-safety funding network. A film about who controls AI has to be independent of everyone with a stake in the answer.
When the film is released, this site will publish every interview in full, together with the research the film draws on, each linked to the moment it appears on screen. Viewers should be able to check every claim for themselves.
